Training in Minneapolis for work. BUT - the bonus was that I got to see Jeffrey Schmitz and his wife Ashlee. We ate some food and remembered old times. We also talked about VWs. A topic that I'm a little more accustomed to, nowadays. Unfortunately, my camera only had charge enough for pictures from the plane !
On the way back from our vacation to the Outer Banks, Allyson and I got picked up by Tobias and Calvin, so we could spend the weekend in A-town. Tim, Emily and their boys were also in for the weekend and we had a great time, which included some time out at Strouds Run.
Headed down to Kentuckiana (apparently where Kentucky and Indiana meet up...). We enjoyed some golf, gambling and nighlife. Well, I didn't play golf, or gamble or see the night life, but I can tell you, that I ate White Castle two nights in a row and it...was...AWESOME.
The family got together at Mom's place to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's 63 wedding anniversary :) It was a great time and it was good to talk to all the family that sometimes we go a decade without seeing. Doug has done some fantastic work to the back of the house including a sunroom and gazebo deck that made for excellent relaxing !
Ahhhh. Vacation. So quickly it came and went. Petitte's, Tabellion's, Geiser's and Lehman's. We all headed down to the Outer Banks and lived it up. The weather could have been a little bit nicer, but the Eucher was supreme !
Champions. Over Yellow. How sweet victory is. All the credit to our defensive core and our offensive snipers. White is nothing but a good team and a good time !
Beantown - with a visit to Mikey "Problem Child" Ahrens. Class (for work) was good, learned a ton. It was also good to see Mike and his girl Karrie before they packed up and moved to the Carolina's. Even got to see him play the night before I left town. Oh yeah - Traffic was the ABSOLUTE WORST I've ever experienced.
A beautiful place to visit. Took Mom and Doug to visit when they were in town. This Mansion is the former home of the founders of the Goodyear Rubber and Tire Company - The Seiberlings. Allyson and I almost bought the property, but we didn't want to hog it all to ourselves. Tee hee.
Went to the Indians game with The Petitte's. Allyson was given tickets from one of her students parents as an 'end-of-the-year gift.' They were 4 rows behind home plate. Thanks to the parents of that kid !
